Atwater Market Area Happenings

It seems like the restaurant Le Onze (Tapas) has bit the dust and is going to be replaced with an upscale British Pub.

There is also the new McKiernan’s Lunch/Wine Bar which is open 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Along with Joe Beef and Liverpool that certainly is the dining block of the area.

The Portuguese grill/tapas place on Notre Dame and Bourget looks like it is ready to open any minute.

The Portuguese grill/tapas place called Bitoque is having its grand opening today. I plan on checking it out in a near future.
The creole place mentionned is called Le Cocotier. I haven't been, but a friend has and she quite enjoyed herself.
Across the street from Caffe Mariani (corner George-Etienne Cartier) opened a sushi/asian joint called Googoo sushi. I haven't tried it. The place is always empty, but it also opened in the dead of winter. Anyone tried it?

If you go up Notre Dame heading east and go under bridge by the IGA as you come up, on the right hand side, there is a new creole restaurant that looks great. I've been dying to drop in. Has anyone been there yet?

Also, there is Eko Sushi on Notre Dame just a couple of blocks west of Atwater. I enjoyed what I had there, but a friend of mind had a completely different experience. But it's nice to have a local sushi option that isn't Sushi Shop.
