Good margaritas in Ffd. Cty.

I'm finding a dearth of decent margaritas in the Stamford area - anyone have any suggestions? The type of restaurant/bar doesn't make a difference - holes-in-the-wall are great, as are more upscale places.

  1. Just over the border into Port Chester, I've had excellent margaritas at Sonora. Fresh lime juice, Cointreau, and a nice selection of sliver tequilas, served straight up in a martini glass...a real cocktail, not a slushie.

    1. viva zapata in westport, fonda la paloma in cos cob and boxcar cantina in greenwich all have excellent margiaritas!

I agree - Vivas has great ones - fresh lime juice, and you can actually taste the tequila. Fonda's, in my experience, have been weak.

        2. Def. Vivas! And, on a day like today, that sounds like a fantastic idea!
