Tucker, GA - Nothing Fancy

Any decent places to eat around Tucker? Both chowhoundish and anything that is not exhorbinantly expensive. I'm a Southerner, so I'm not necessarily out to eat Southern food unless it is remarkable.

  1. Yes, Tucker has my favorite Mexican restaurant, Taqueria de los Hermanos. It is great, their fish tacos are excellent, their specials are great.
There is a place called Shorty's that is very good too. It has pizza's and the best guacamole around. They have a wonderful eggplant parmesan app and spaghetti squash salad.
All of the pizzas I've tried have been very very good.
There is an italian place called Aldo's and it can be very good but I have also had a few misses there.
The final rec is Matthew's cafeteria. Been around forever. Solid meat and two or three if you want. The fried chicken is very good. The turkey and dressing is also a hit. I have been told the cobler is excellent but have never tried it. I enjoy it for lunch.
Have fun in Tucker! Let us know where you tried and how it turned out.

    1. Patacon Pisa'o is right next to Tucker, and a short drive away are places like Istanbul Cafe, also Zyka and a few other Indian, and a bunch of Ethiopian and Eritrean places in Clarkston.
