BBQs in Dubai

Hi,

My husband and I are moving to Dubai, and I am wondering whether to ship our Weber propane barbecue there or not. I would buy another Weber there, except according to their website, there is no Weber dealership in the UAE.

I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if the propane "hookups" in the UAE are to a different measurement/standard than elsewhere (Canada, specifically), or if there are BBQs that are comparable to a Weber (i.e. you can perfectly cook a whole chicken on it without flareups or constant monitoring) available there.

thanks in advance!
Michelle

This is probably far too late to be useful, but Ace Hardware at Dubai Festival City sells a full range of Weber barbecues and accessories, plus other makes. The Dubai garden centre on Sheikh Zayed Road has them too, but it's more expensive than Ace.

It depends what BBQ's you are referring to? Dubai Garden Centre is the authorised distributor for Weber BBQ's.
