Doesn't sound kooky to me. Cuvee has the best bourbon in town. It ain't cheap but it's the best.
Cochon has a good list, including some of the more interesting small batch stuff around. And, if you're into it, they also have all of the legal moonshines available (though, frankly, they're all pretty terrible).
I think this is just what the doctor ordered.
