Suggestions for dinner for 2 under $100---pretty much anywhere in Manhattan.

Where can two mid-30's moms from Toronto (sans kids) --- and still pretty darn hip if I do say so myself --- go for a nice Saturday night dins for $100 including wine?

Would like something kind of edgy---not too trendy. And definitely no tourist traps.

Try Le Zie in Chelsea. Great Italian food at a reasonable cost. I also suggest Fatty Crab, Otto and Alta.

Without knowing any preferences for type of food - here are some options based on your criteria so far: Bar Pitti (Italian), ino or inoteca (Italian small plates), Cafe Asean (pan-Asian), Florent (fun diner in Meatpacking District), Cornelia St Cafe (American).

If you post back with some ideas for the kind of food you're looking for, you'll get more recs.

Yeah, I guess I could have been a little more specific.

Love Italian. But I also like the look of something like Florent.

Also want a place where we don't feel rushed and can languish over a bottle of red.

I think both of you have given me some great suggestions. Maybe we'll do Florent for lunch one day and one of the Italian choices for dins.
