Suggestions for dinner for 2 under $100---pretty much anywhere in Manhattan.

Where can two mid-30's moms from Toronto (sans kids) --- and still pretty darn hip if I do say so myself --- go for a nice Saturday night dins for $100 including wine?

Would like something kind of edgy---not too trendy. And definitely no tourist traps.

  1. Try Le Zie in Chelsea. Great Italian food at a reasonable cost. I also suggest Fatty Crab, Otto and Alta.

    1. Without knowing any preferences for type of food - here are some options based on your criteria so far: Bar Pitti (Italian), ino or inoteca (Italian small plates), Cafe Asean (pan-Asian), Florent (fun diner in Meatpacking District), Cornelia St Cafe (American).

If you post back with some ideas for the kind of food you're looking for, you'll get more recs.

      1. Yeah, I guess I could have been a little more specific.

Love Italian. But I also like the look of something like Florent.

Also want a place where we don't feel rushed and can languish over a bottle of red.

I think both of you have given me some great suggestions. Maybe we'll do Florent for lunch one day and one of the Italian choices for dins.
