Bar Baresco

Just opened last week, so we went by to check it out Friday night. It an attractive room, with a happy dining crowd. Food was fine.

With name of the place, and seeing a sleek Cruvinet on the back bar, we expected interesting wines by the glass, but we were disappointed. The Arneis was OK but not memorable; the Dolcetto was forgettable and the Barbera, while best of the three, also was not memorable.

We wish them success, and will be back to try it again. And we came away thinking: they might start a chain, with Bar Bera, Bar Olo and....

  1. Next time your there, try the Syrah, Kayd, Alessandro Camporeale, Sicily. Great wine!
    And don't forget Bar Dolino.
