Lamb chops for dinner tonight

Any Ideas I have a nice rack of lamb that I took out to thaw this morning trying to make something wonderful for dinner. Any suggestions?

  1. My favorite way to cook Lamb Chops is grill them. I usually make a paste of garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper and olive oil and rub all over then grill till med-rare. So good and so easy!

    1. We just cooked a lovely rack of lamb last night! We used the following recipe. It was delicious!

These both sound great but I usually do an evoo garlic and rosemary rub, I was hoping to do something a little different. Any more great ideas?

      2. The recipe linked below (from epicurious), for grilled marinated lamb chops with balsamic cherry tomatoes, is excellent. The marinade includes honey and red wine vinegar, so it's a little different from what sounds like your usual.

I've also made that dish. It's very good!

        2. I made an excellent leg of lamb last night - I think it would work for a rack too.
Mashed anchovies, garlic and rosemary from epicurious. Turned out absolutely fabulous - there was no fishy taste, just a lovely, salty umami taste. Perhaps too close to your regular though.
Another favourite is to marinate the chops in soy, garlic, dijon, and lemon juice then broil.
          Perhaps a pistachio/garlic crust?

          1. Thanks for all the post. I ended up doing white wine fresh garlic lemmon zest .fresh oregano, amd caveders greek seasoning and grilling, served them with Israeli couscous cooked with the same marinade I used on the lamb and I also served Tzatziki. Very Greek and very good.

Finally - someone who uses white wine to marinate lamb!!! I've been searching the web for you... I had a recipe for marinating leg in white wine but that was 30 years ago and I cannot remember what to use... Someone told me NP Vermouth was the best. What did you use? I have an inexpensive cut (it was given to me) so I need to use something that will help it not taste "gamey".
