Best Restaurants with Plenty'O Nightly Specials

Despite that fact that Bourdain points out that many 'specials' are meant to unload old ingredients on you, I still react like a kid in a candy store when a waiter announces numerous specials. So what good restaurants out there have great specials?

I would nominate Hungry Cat in this category as we had almost exclusively specials and it was fantastic (escolar carpaccio, stone crab), even better than items on the regular menu.

I always like the specials at Fritto Misto more than the regular menu or anything I can dream up (mmmm artichoke stuffed gnochi in a sage cream sause was one of my all-time favorites there.) Josie has great seasonal specials. Also, I think the chef at Nook at an amazing palate - I am still dreaming about a shrimp with chorizo over grits special that I ate there more than a month ago. Orris too...almost feels to obvious to recommend its specials:)

I actually think the shrimp and grits are a permanent fixture on the menu at Nook (thank God, because I love them!). Totally in agreement with the specials at Orris. I had some excellent sweetbreads there as a special not too long ago.
