Any thoughts on Gypsy Bistro (Calgary)

Has anyone been to Gypsy Bistro in Calgary? The menu looks decent but wanted a review from someone who's been there. Thanks!

I think I need to make a retraction on my previous comment - I just went there for lunch this afternoon, I had soup and a flatbread - and neither was very good. I usually have the risotto, which is excellent, so hopefully that still holds up.....

I went there during a recent visit to Calgary. Certainly a pleasant room to spend time in and the service was good. But the dinner I ordered, while pleasant enough, made me think of Stouffers microwave meals. I wasn't horrible by any means, but I was expecting a little more subtly at the price point. These guys have some good qualities, but I think they can do better.

I have been there many times and I think it is pretty good. It remains one of the more reasonably priced downtown restaurants, with good food and a good atmosphere. It is probably packed at lunch, but I have found it to be relatively quiet most evenings.

As you may know, it was the original location for Divinos back in the day and this new incarnartion is not too bad. Some old friends and I have lunch there on occasion and they still do a pretty good job. The menu is still very similiar to the old Divino's menu and we always have a rather pleasant lunch.
