BBQ Beef in the Crockpot

I am planning to make bbq beef in the crockpot (hence the title of my post ;) ) in a couple weeks. I have a 5-lb "beef round eye of round" roast from costco in the freezer. Will that work? I mean, will it shred when cooked? I've always used a chuck roast when I need a piece of meat to shred, and I have no clue if this eye of round will work. I'd really love to get it out of my freezer!

  1. It will make excellent bbq beef! I have used it before and it shreds beautifully. I make my own bbq sauce and cook it for 12 hours on low. It is my version of texas bbq since I don't live in Texas anymore this is a great substitute. Please let us know how it turns out!
