Best terrasse-dining in Westchester

juweee Apr 6, 2008 05:44 PM

With the warm weather coming (hopefully soon...), please share your favorite outdoor eating in the county. I'll start with one of my faves: Harvest-on-Hudson. I also can't wait to try Red Hat in its new location.

juweee, there are outdoor decks coming at such eclectic spots as: Joe's Quarry Inn, Tuckahoe (tavern fare); Antipasti, White Plains (Italian); and Prophecy, White Plains (eclectic American)...the deck at Blu (eclectic American) at the Tennis Club in Hastings, just before you hit Harvest, is a hidden gem, and for those who want some temperature control, the Greenhouse at the rear of Mamma Francesca (southern Italian) in New Rochelle facing the boating clubs and L.I. Sound is great for sunset dining...

We always look forward to the openning of Mulligans at Doral Arrowwood. It's outside, under a large tent on the golf course. The food has gone down hill over the years but the atmosphere it terrific. It usually opens Memorial Day weekend. Let's hope this years food will improve.

Jardin de Roi, Chappaqua, has a lovely outdoor dining area. Really good bistro fare as well.

Mamma Francesca....sounds like the type of location I'd love (water view, my favorite) - how would you rate the food?

I am reviving this post in the hopes of getting a little more ideas. There is a new resto from the same owners of Harvest? Is it open yet? Is there a terrasse?

Supposed to open in May, but I've had no luck online re: opening date. Why not give them a call?

Here's an article - phone at end. Website in the article has nothing about the new restaurant (??!!)

I actually just called the number - they open on May 18th. The name of the new place is Half Moon.

North Star in Pound Ridge has a nice outdoor porch with good food. Relaxing little town.

On the line of the enclosed patio dining in Manhattan, there is Michael's pizza in Portchester, near the Home Depot on Midland Ave. Good pizza, nice vibe.

Piccolo Mulino in Mamaroneck has a very pleasant and quiet back yard eating area.
