After 11pm dining near City Hall?

  • d

I did a quick search of the board and found a short list but would like a few more options. I am going to a concert this evening at City Hall and it ends at 11. As things are going right now, looks like dinner will have to be afterwards. Any suggestions? I've already been to Canter's and DuPar's....any kind of cuisine is fine and if its a bit out of the way that's ok too. Don't mind driving for good food! TIA!

oops! That would be downtown Los Angeles.

The original Pacific Dining Car on Sixth Street. I always insist on sitting in the old dining car as opposed to the back rooms.

At about that hour they begin to serve their breakfast [call for the time it begins]. I consider their breakfast to be the best in LA. Served with stellar bar offerings.

      2. Well, there's always the Pantry...

There are some places in Little Tokyo that stay open fairly late. Suehiro Cafe is one of them (udon, combo plates, etc.) There's also the restaurant at The Standard Hotel, which I believe is open 24 hours. Ciudad might also be open late. That time of the evening, it wouldn't take long to get to The Kitchen in Silver Lake/Los Feliz. They're open until 1 a.m.

        1. Thought I should add links. Ciudad is open until midnight.

          1. Won Kok was my favorite late night restaurant in Chinatown. I love their chow fun and Hong Kong style chow mein.

              1. Canter's and DuPar's are pretty far, so Berri's on 3rd and Damiano's Mr. Pizza on Fairfax north of DuPar's and across the street from Canter's, and Mel's Diner. Also King Taco . . .

                1. I like going to Little Tokyo late night--there's actually pedestrian traffic because there are bunch of places open late. One of my faves is Haru Ulala on 2nd Street for Izakaya.
