No love for devino?

With the excitement over the Belford Bistro (much deserved, by the way!), I am surprised that no one has posted about devino bar and bistro (in Hazlet). My husband and I visited a while ago and I posted about our dinner. I'm wondering what's keeping people away - location? the fact that it's not byob? I remember it being a bit more expensive (but may that may just be because of the alcohol cost)... It was a nice experience and a similar restaurant so I'm just curious why it may not be getting the attention that the Belford Bistro is. http://www.devinobarbistro.com/

    I haven't tried Devinos yet but my parents have and gave it very good reviews. It's on my list to try.

      "devino serves 5.5 oz portions of wine in
      dramatically oversized 16 oz stemware for
      your swirling and sniffing pleasure.
      Remember: the glass isn’t two-thirds empty;
      it’s one-third full."

      Any restaurant that places this caveat on their wine menu is either bold or taking a chance that forewarned patrons will be hesitant and possibly disappointed. Having said that, the Angus burger I had there recently was prepared to my liking and more than enough for lunch. Under 10.00 for lunch always makes me happy.

        mfp79 - I've never heard of the place before. Thanks for the website. BTW, while the menu looks decent, I'm not too impressed with the wine list. I also agree with HillJ about the "bold" statement regarding the stemware.
