Good restaurants uptown Bronx?
Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone has any gems in the uptown Bronx (Williams Bridge, Gun Hill Rd./White Plains Rd./Boston Rd. area. Any good Indian/Thai/Vietnamese/Italian (Morris Park delivery?)/etc..
I got good Chinese, Jamaican, and Spanish food, but I'm pretty tired of eating the smae thing all the time at home. I'm looking for something fresh.
Thanx in advance for any advice.
Siam Square on Kappock st in Riverdale has excellent Thai food. http://siamsq.com/
Roberto's on Crescent st off Arthur ave is a great Italian restaurant. http://www.usmenuguide.com/Robertos.htm
The best cheesecake in the world, is on 238th st, just east of broadway. S&S Cheesecake.
This place doesn't receive any play on these boards but IMO deserves to be recognized. It's a pizza shop, but a memorable one. Slices with toppings are $4 now, but they're definitely worth it. I recommend the fried chicken slice with tomato. It's chicken tenders with tomato bruschetta on a pizza slice. Really good. Take my word for it. There's plenty of others to choose from too. All good. Owners are from southern Italy, Vito and Maria.

two of the best restaurants anywhere in the borough, or further out for that matter, are Enzo's for Italian on Williamsbridge Road, about a block in from Pelham Parkway (they have another restaurant on Arthur Ave.), and Artie's of City Island, which serves an American-global menu of contemporary and traditional eclectic dishes with pizzazz. www.artiesofcityisland.com
There are no good restaurants in the Bronx (except Arthur Ave.) I live in the north bronx and I have come to realize that a good meal is impossible. Diners, pizza, chinese and fast food. It totally sucks having to come into Manhattan for a nice weekend lunch.
Please let me know if you find a place...
