French Bistro/Restaurant Sarasota

I live in Punta Gorda and I am looking for a good french restaurant or bistro in Sarasota. Any suggestions?

  1. I like Cafe L'Europe on St. Armand's Circle. It's not "full-on" French, but the menu has a heavy French influence (see link). The lobster bisque is to die for! The restaurant is visually lovely, and service is polished.

    1. I've been trying many restaurants in and around Sarasota, in a recent visit as well as numerous visits over the years. My two absolute favorites are The Table in downtown Sarasota ( ) and Beach Bistro in Holmes Beach at the north end of Anna Maria Island ( ), with honorable mention to Derek's ( ) and Rustic Grill ( ).

I have been to both Cafe Europe and Beach Bistro, but have not tried the others on your list. Beach Bistro is by far a favorite of mine, and a nice drive.
