Wing Lee - Horsham PA - Review

I was invited to meet a group of folks here last night - the restaurant has been open about 3 weeks. They are in the space that used to be Anne Nao Ka, in she shopping center with Omni Fitness on Easton Road.
in a word - Meh. Apparently the owner worked at Lai Lai for a loooong time, and is trying to make his new place like that. So it was pricey. We paid $55 for sushi that was not that great. The fish was fresh, but nothing was quite right. the spicy tuna was practically mush it was chopped so fine, and you couldn't taste the tuna. Other folks who ordered less expensive chinese-style dishes seemed happy, we were not thrilled.
The service was good, but the restaurant was practically empty, so there were plenty of waiters standing around to help. And they were very accommodating at our request for (several) separate checks.

  1. Thanks for the heads up, sure to pass on this one.

    1. Hi jujuthomas, I am one of the owner's sons of Wing Lee Cuisine and I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the sushi. Was Wing aware of this? The reason I ask is because I know that he would've done everything he could to make it right. He'd rather have you complain to him personally so that he could fix it rather than have you leaving his restaurant dissatisfied. I will let him know about your review and hopefully you will give it another chance. Thanks and regards, Ben.

      1. If you live near Horsham, you should really try Yama Restaurant in a strip mall on Horsham Road and Norristown. The sushi is very fresh and the prices very reasonable. His rolls are some of the best I've ever had.

I second Yama for great sushi. The rolls are amazing. Very inventive.

        2. I've been to Yama, and I personnally didn't think it was that good. The rolls had too much rice and the sushi didn't taste too fresh. I guess you get what you pay for. Well, I haven't had the sushi at Wing Lee Cuisine, but I have to say that the Chinese food is amazing. It's the best I've had since moving from New York City. I will definitely be back!

          1. I have had my first taste of Wing Lee this past Monday, and actually went there again on Wednesday because I couldn't seem to get enough. I thought the Volcano rolls were AMAZING and the chinese cuisine was delicious. Mr. Lee was friendly and the whole staff was great. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have moderate pricing, great food and service.
