Rehearsal dinner for 50-60 people downtown?

I've searched this board and found some great suggestions, but have not found exactly what I'm looking for yet, so I'm hoping the trusty Chowhounds will be able to help. I'm getting married this July and looking for a private room for a casual, but fun and festive rehearsal dinner on a Friday night.

50 - 60 people
Below 14th Street preferable but not absolutely necessary
No Chinese or Thai (food allergy issues)
Budget is $100pp maximum, including alcohol, tax and tip

Our wedding will be at Bridgewaters (South Street Seaport) on Saturday night, so we're looking to do something more relaxed for Friday. We'd love to do something in Brooklyn but don't want our guests to have to travel out of Manhattan. I was thinking about Mexican, but not like Dos Caminos Mexican -- something a little more fun and offbeat. Lots of friends (outside of the city) have done fun things like clambakes for rehearsal dinners, so we're thinking about something along those lines. Please help!!

We are having our Rehearsal Dinner at THE SMITH on 3rd ave and 10th street. We went for dinner 3 times already and food is great. They have a private room downstairs.

Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't eaten there, but it looks like The Smith is run by the same people who own Jane, and I have had several great meals there. I'll definitely check it out. Please keep the suggestions coming!
