Loft 610

I've been searching on this board, but haven't found a lot on the restaurant. My Mom wants to go for her birthday for lunch when I'm in town. Anything I should stay away from? Anything good to order?

I went to loft 610 last saturday for a friends party and everything was great. Th decor was gorgeous, giving the place a really cool modern vibe and the food was superb. We started with duck spring rolls and seafood cakes, after that I had the venision while my wife enjoyed the plaintain pecan scallops. They had a DJ who came on after 10 pm and the place got really hot and loud. It was a lot of fun. I was surprised when I found out the place has only been open a little over 3 months. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went for lunch last week. As the other poster said it is a really cool place we loved the way they put it together very NYC. I had just a roasted tomato soup ( which was good) and also creamed spinach which was great. My husband had Onion rings which were also great and a cuban Sandwich which he thought was just ok. We are looking forward to trying out the place for dinner.

I thought the food was o.k. and definitely overpriced. I had one glass of wine, an entree of ravioli and dessert and my total was about 48.00. I could think of a lot of places to eat and have a better meal for that price.

Makes me nervous to try it if none of the chowhounds have even been there.....
