Jasper's - Crofton, Rte 3

Going to a bridal shower lunch at Jasper's on Saturday. Everything on the menu looks really good!! Anyone have any favorites?

    1. I haven't been there in the last couple of years. The food is middling - nothing terribly bad, nothing exciting.

I see why no one had anything to say about this place. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. For the shower they served a small buffet style spread. They had a roast which was VERY rare. I like my meat done medium well and asked for a slice closer to end and even that was pretty bloody! They had skin on mashed potatoes which I didn't try. They had a carrot and green bean mixture which seemed to have come out of can. They had a broccoli salad which was pretty good as well as a zucchini salad. All in all I was pretty disappointed.

      2. I live in Crofton and haven't been to Jasper's in at least 4-5 years. Our experiences were always bad. The wait would be horrible and even if you "called ahead" and they told you how long it would be so you'd plan when to arrive, you'd get there and it was still another 30-45 minutes. The wait was not worth it. I had orders arrive completely wrong and one time my whole meal was forgotten and I waited 20 minutes past everyone else at the table. Of course it was when my parents were visiting and they, who went out all the time to nice NY-NJ places, were completely appalled at the service we received (or didn't as the case may be). The menu has a nice variety and the interior decor is different, but nice, but I just can't bring myself to go there even though it should be an easy local meal for us. The parking lot is always packed so someone must like it!
