kim cattrall hosting james beard awards 08

wow, i'm happy that padma lakshmi has found a niche hosting top chef. i don't hate good looking women. but is this the direction the foundation really wants to take? she has a 'personal interest in food' they say. i guess more press for the deserving chefs is a good thing.

  1. She's got a movie coming'll see all 4 of them all over the place i'm sure.

    1. Hey, who not. Chefs nowadays are not just content with toiling in the kitchen anonymously anymore: they're celebrichefs. Seems like a natural progression of things. I'm waiting for the Mario Batali movie anyday now.

Lucky chef. How does he have the energy to cook?

Aw man, you had to break my heart didn't you? I'll just have to slink away with my walker and Depends....

LOL! The girl's got game, you gotta give her that. :-)

Oh yes she does. I never thought much of her acting but her other...attributes are another matter.

                    1. re: Ruth Lafler

Thanks Ruth. I wouldn't even know where to find that.

            <She is actually dating/living with a chef.> Aaaaah! I see! (NOT!)

sounds like the Beard folks are grasping at straws. They charge so much for admission to this show, I guess they figure they have to go for some kind of big name, but isn't she kinda second fiddle to someone like Sarah Jessica Parker? Oh, that's right... Matthew Broderick is not a chef....

          2. Because of her relationship with a chef she has been involved in several cooking award shows, etc.

            1. You know she was in the movie Porky's. I think it was an Italian film about procuitto makers.
