Light dinner suggestions near LACMA?
Hi all,
I'm looking for a place to have a casual, simple and not too expensive dinner tonight not too far from LACMA. Excluding Ethiopian and Korean food (I know, I know), and where the kitchen doesn't close too early. We usually end up at Bloom Cafe, Luna Park or Sake House on La Brea, so a change would be welcome. Not overtly fond of Cobras and Matadors, and aside from that I'm drawing a blank.
Thanks for your help!

Try Goat next to Rita Flora. It is owned by Steven Arroyo (C+M, Malo, etc.) but I find it to be the best out of the empire. Last time I went I had the Goat Carnitas and companion had a fish dish. They have a short reasonably priced wine list. Interesting Salads and Apps.
Corner of 6th and La Brea...on La Brea in the old Happi Songs space.

As I was reading the post, I thought of Goat. Glad to hear someone else liked it. I haven't been there for dinner...just lunch. But I think it's a good addition to that neighborhood. My friend had the goat carnitas and I had the fish 'n chips. Both very nice. And it's good to see a few wines by the glass less than $12/14.
