Machine matzo that tastes like hand shmura

I buy hand shmura matzo mostly because I love the taste (the more burned the better). I would buy it year-round if it was available and reasonably priced. Which of the machine variants taste most like the hand shmura -18 minute machine or machine shmura. If these two options both taste like regular machine matzo then forget about it.

I don't use the regular matzah, I use hand shmurah or the 18 minute machine matzah.

all machine matzah basically tastes the same.

there is a difference in taste in hand matzah due to thickness, the oven and a few other factors

I am glad to hear you say that. I too bought a 5 pound package at Brachs ($4.99 or $1 a box!). Not for the price but because the package said that it was voted the best tasting matzo by some group of "experts". I don't usually believe everything that I read, especially on the package itself, but the price was right and this was the only brand that addressed the taste issue. If wrong, and it tastes like cardboard, I am out only 5 bucks and then I can always turn it to matzo meal.
