Bulls Head Market - Norwalk, CT

  • 7

Just saw last night this had opened, on Rte 7 at the intersection of 123. It's where the old DD & Off the Grill were located.
I assume it's one & the same with the Stamford locale.

I'm definitely glad to see this in the neighborhood.

It's a gourmet deli/market. Their old locale in Stamford (where Margot's is now) had a great salad bar. Here's the menu for the new one on Rte 7.

    2. That's right near Valencia Luncheria, so when that place is jam-packed for lunch, you can go to Bull's Head. I think Bull's Head, at least the old one, was hands-down fabulous. My husband is constantly whining about how Stamford has no good delis now that BH has moved. (And I'm sorry but I did not love Giovanni's! But then again, BH is high-end, and Giovanni's is traditional.)

I'm amazed that DD is closed! Thank goodness. It was a traffic disaster at 730 am when I had the misfortune to live in that area for a year. (Sorry, Norwalk, but that was a bad year.)

Well there are still BH's in Stamford. That partic locale above (where Margot's is now) is over on Summer though I have yet to actually SEE it. Then again, I'm also not looking for it.

Has your hubby tried the deli down in Shippan? I think it's now called something silly like "The All American Gourmet Deli". That's a deent one I frequent fairly often.

He works down near Shippan, so I just passed along your rec. Thanks!
Now that you mention it, I do recall seeing Bull's Head signs on Summer. I guess that's a good location for the office building workers. I wonder how parking will be on the weekend near the deli though.

The Bull's Head location on Summer is a tiny place with pre-made sandwiches.
