Fig Balsamic Vinegar

I'm looking for some Fig Balsamic Vinegar - I'll be in Manhattan today through Thursday night. Specifically the Lucerne. Any suggestions?

This may be out of your way and unattainable, but I can tell you 100% without a doubt that you'll find it at Greene Grape Provisions in Fort Greene, Brooklyn (corner of South Portland and Fulton). I only know because I picked up a bottle on Sunday for less than $10. It was my boyfriend's mother's birthday and I know she loves figs...otherwise, I'd never heard of it before. It's a super quick and easy commute from Manhattan so if you're desperate and haven't yet found it, don't give up!

Nearby you, I'd look at Zabars and Fairway - perhaps you could call ahead and inquire.

Fig vinegar link above. Now that I think about it though, I've never actually heard of Fig Balsamic Vinegar.

Try marinating a pork tenderloin and asparagus in fig balsamic vinegar. Then roast in the oven. Amazing.

Is this generally difficult to find? I'm assuming it's an Italian product? I'm actually going the Bronx tomorrow to Arthur Avenue and will look for it. Some other places that might have it:

2135 Broadway, New York, NY 10023

          Di Palo's Fine Foods
200 Grand St, New York, NY 10013

          Buon Italia
          75 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011

          Grace's Marketplace
          1237 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10021

Agree with trying Fairway and Zabar's. Fairway has that whole vinegar section (behind the olive oils on the 1st floor). A call ahead might be in order.
