Alligator Meat?

Where can I buy alligator meat in downtown Toronto? I don't want to order online. Thanks!

My question would be "Why?". I had fresh alligator meat about four different ways at an alligator farm in Northern Australia a few years back, and found it tasteless and rubbery no matter how it was prepared (steak, deep fried, baked, and stewed as I recall). The old "tastes like chicken" didn't work for me; it tasted more like old stale bubble gum left on my nightstand when I was a kid.

I've bought it from the fish vendors at St. Lawrence. Frozen brick-like and pre-packaged. I think they always have it in stock.

214 Laird, 2 blocks south of Eglinton. According to the website, the grand opening will now be April 10. They'll have a bigger menu, be licensed, do jazz brunches, etc. Not sure yet if or how it will affect the grocery side of the operation.

Yes, I have since found out. I can't wait either. Home base for me at work is Mt. P and Eggs. I shall make the trip over there a lot more frequently than down to Queen St.
