I am meeting someone for a first date, for lunch, next week. We are going to meet somewhere between our respective workplaces - uptown, and Arrowood Road off I-77, in Charlotte. Any ideas? Need something low-key but not fast food... like a Bedder Bedder & More... but want to hear other ideas. THanks!

I'm partial to Pho 98 at South and Arrowood. Mac's is an obvious choice as is Monsoon or La Paz.

Between Arrowood and Uptown off and easily accessible from I-77 - Azteca on Woodlawn, 300 East or Nikko's.

I second Mac's - it's a great choice for a no-pressure first date lunch and it's also along your route.

Taqueria Mexico, South Blvd @ Arrowood is excellent. Lunch rush can be a bit hectic, but if you can go before or after the rush, it is a great place, not at all fancy, great food, and reasonable prices with a good selection of Mexican foods.

If Dilworth is OK The Kabob Grill in the shopping center with the Harris Teeter on East Blvd. has some excellent mid eastern food. Sharing an order of Humous can lead to romance!
