BBQ Dutchess County

Stopped by All Smoked Up roadside barbecue on Rt. 55 in Beekman, across from the car wash. Got a couple of pulled pork sandwiches. Man oh man were they good! The pork was succulent, the sauce complimented it perfectly. The sandwiches were so stuffed, could only eat half. And that's saying something because I like to eat! Had the remainder for lunch the next day. Now I'm kicking myself for not getting some ribs as well. Maybe next week.

i'm not a pork or ribs person; tried the pork, seemed good to me. but i'm hooked on his carved sirloin, wings, and various incarnations of mac n cheese and (fill in something else here). he hasn't done the seafood ones in a while, but he'll vary them, sometimes with bleu cheese....sometimes with sausage / tomato cream sauce, and a few other selections as well. i actually didn't go yesterday because i knew i'd pick up enough for 3 days worth of meals, and likely pig out on it and eat it in 1 or 2.

oh, the calendar for when rob and ellen (all smoked up) are open, and menu for the day, is at: http://www.allsmokedup.com/allsmokedu...

if it's inclement weather, they often won't be there, but the website tells it all.

I just picked up two sliced sirloin sandwiches and a dozen wings yesterday. The wings were a little too spicy for my taste, but my husband loved them. The steak sandwiches were incredible. I was actually a little surprised when he took out two beautifully grilled steaks and sliced them fresh. The rolls were perfect. I am definitely looking forward to going there again. The pulled pork and the mac 'n' cheese sound delicious.

I went to All Smoked Up today, my first trip...well, actually not my first trip, but the first time I went, I went too late and they were out of everything! I liked the buffalo wings, they had quite a smoky flavor (to be expected of a place called All Smoked Up, I guess!), which I had never experienced in buffalo wings before. I thought they were good, wasn't crazy about them, I think the smoky flavor threw me off a bit. But I would try them again and he gave me 17 wings when it's listed as a dozen wings! I also tried the mac & cheese with sausage and tomato cream. Now that I was very impressed with. So delicious! Next time I think I'll try the pulled pork sandwiches!
