In-N-Out coming to Orlando?

Someone over on the Urban Planet Orlando message board is reporting that they were told by a representative of the In-N-Out chain that they, In-N-Out, would have a branch of their famous burger joint in Orlando starting next year. Can anyone confirm this or is it a wild rumor. Looking at their website it seems they have nothing located east Of AZ/NV so to jump all the way down to the sunshine state seems "quite a hop". Personally I would love to have them here.

    1. No way! No freaking way! I highly doubt they'd make such a big jump. I'd be happy to eat my words, but they haven't even saturated the market in their own backyard so a move to Orlando seems very pie in the sky.

        1. OH BABY! I hope this is true!, It wouldn't be the first chain to make a big jump across the country like that, let's hope, and pray!

            1. I really hope they're right. Perhaps, they'd come down to Miami then.

                1. Highly doubtful, especially if the rumor is for "a" branch. They don't freeze anything, and will not put a restaurant outside driving range of their provision facilities. The chance of them opening a provision facility to service a single location on the other side of the country from their offices is about as slim as it can get.

Didn't In-N-Out recently announce it was "expanding" with its first restaurant in Utah? I can't believe they'd skip across the country, but I wouldn't complain, either.

                      • When I read this ,I sent an E-mail to the IN-N-OUT co., already got a response neither confirming, or denying the rumor, but a note saying they were in the process of expanding, and buying real estate to do so....interesting!

I would bet almost anything we won't see an In-n-Out in FLA in our lifetime.

And our lifetimes might be longer if In-n-Out doesn't expand into Florida.

California gave us In-n-Out. Florida gave us Burger King. Who's done more to ruin America's diet?

BK by a mile!!! But while neither are conducive to good health, if I am going to sacrifice myself, I would much rather do it the In-N-Out way.

                                  2. Over on the L.A. board, there a recent post craving Steak&Shake over In&Out.
Claims I&O are too dry barely a step above Mickey D's. So you may want to just visit one of those instead of dreaming for the I&O.

in n out's burgers are much better than steak and shake. however, their milk shakes are why you go to & ss. :)

                                        • Oh my gosh! My husband will be thrilled. We make a point of hitting the In-N-Out in Palm Springs when we go there to visit my mother-in-law. I love their strawberry shakes. Hopefully this news is legit.
