I prefer the name of a bakery where I can order and buy one, but if you know of any restaurants that serve a good one, that would be geat info too!

I can't say enough about how good La Flor De Puebla Bakery in Riverdale's "Little Mexico" section of Prince George's County is. I love their stuff.

I was going to recommend La Flor De Puebla for Tres Leches Cake when I saw this thread heading. You beat me to it!

Some of the people I have recommended LFDP to have been turned off by the "serve yourself" nature of the bakery and the rolling baker's racks all over the shop. I love it though - just grab a tray and a pair of tongs and go searching for goodies. Love the donuts, conchas, rolls and tortas.

The BEST Tres Leches cake I've ever had is at Kuba Kuba in Richmond, Va. (if you're ever there). All others are kind of dissapointing after that. Some of the local pollo places in D.C. carry it though.

"Turned off"??? Did you mention to them that this is "how it is" at Mexican bakeries across the country and in Mexico itself?

In fact, I'm heading there this afternoon!

My friend is Columbian and I've had her mom's tres leches...so I've had the real thing, and believe it or not my favorite is at Blue Agave in Baltimore.
