They are officially closed, although the message at the restaurant says they are 'closed for remodeling'.

They are officially closed. The kicker is that she gave the staff, who depended on their jobs, less than 3 hours notice. Ms. Gold, what a great way of showing appreciation to the staff that stood by your side.

Wow, that sounds pretty cold. Was there something brewing for awhile that I wasn't aware of?

Its really hard for owners when things go south. You want to give employees some notice but you can't. If you did, they'd all quit. I've heard nothing but good things from friends that have worked for her.

I've worked for restaruants where I've shown up and the door is locked. It's not a good feeling. I'm hoping everyone lands on their feet.

It's a bad deal for everyone. I was just surprised because I kept hearing such good things about it.

Thanks chileheadmike, for a good response. Unless you've been through something like losing a business or closing a business, you just can't second guess why things happened the way they did.

I hope everyone remembers what good food Debbie continued to do after her situation changed. She is a very, very talented chef.

That's interesting because I've heard nothing but bad things and had my own unsavory experience never even having worked for her. You can't treat people poorly and come out on top for any length of time.

The staff were pretty disappointed in the way things went about, but weren't really surprised. I guess things were slowing going south for a while now.
