Best Sushi in Carefree, AZ

I'll be in Carefree, AZ for a few days and am trying to get some suggestions on the best sushi restaurant in the area; with in like a 30 minute drive. Thanks

Another one worth mentioning is Satori Sushi @ Thompson Peak and Bell

If you can not see the ocean, and the airport is not close, stick to steak or chicken.

Sorry, but that is a ridiculous assessment. Nobuo Fukuda, James Beard award-winner, has been serving fish in the desert for years, and if it was as bad as you suggest, he would have gone unnoticed.

Ugh. Sushi Brokers was awful the one and only time I went there (about 2 months ago). It's more trendy than yummy. Sushi was dry, bland, not very fresh tasting, and overpriced for the quality (no better than what you could get at Whole Foods or AJ's sushi counters). Just my humble opinion.

I'll have to admit it has been a while since I have been to Sushi Brokers...I have has some good experiences in the past!

The new Whole Foods @ Mayo and Scottsdale Rd. does have a great Sushi Bar.....!!!!

More recently Pure and Blue Wasabi are probably the 2 that are the closest to Carefree that are above par.

It has been a while since I have been to Toyama amd the last time I was @ Spicy Tuna (Ippei) it was an 'ok' experience.

I was listing the sushi places that were close to Carefree.....

Really, I've always had great luck with Sushi Brokers. Their happy hour has fantastic deals -- ordering a combination of those and some of their board specials has always netted me a meal that was both innovative and affordable. Some of my girlfriends' meet-up spots I complain about, but never that one.

Well, to each his own. I really didn't like it.

I lived in this area for several years until mid '07 and haven't found any sushi worth commenting about... Ten opened up recently and since my last visit was less than mediocre at best. >30 minute drive each way, I would recommend Hana...
