Looking for a great Vietnamese Restaurant in Manhattan or Queens

Just got a craving for Vietnamese food. Would like to know a really good one.

I wouldn't call it great but I'll put in a plug for my favorite. Nam Son, at 245 Grand right near the D train Grand St stop. Good food, always packed, and most customers appear to be Vietnamese.

For a cheap meal or super-fast delivery, I really like the under-the-radar Saigon 48 (234 W 48th St btwn 8th and Bway). Unnervingly consistent. Soups and rice dishes are especially good.

I really like O Mai (9th ave and 20th) - it's very dependable. There's a brother restaurant in Tribeca too whose name has escaped me.

Nam. Both of those are good, not stellar. You should do a search here for the long post about the pretty mundane Viet food in NYC...

Try Boi in midtown- (246 E 44th St, New York 10017
Btwn 2nd & 3rd Ave ) I have been there a few times as it is near my office and I find the food fantastic! the flavors are amazing and all round it is excellent Vietnamese food. There is also a "Boi to go" around the corner which I have not yet tried...
