Aekjeot in Calgary?

hjt Mar 29, 2008 11:39 PM

Can anyone recommend a good place to get decent aekjeot in Calgary? Decent local brands? I'm kind of ashamed to admit I haven't looked very hard while in Calgary so I don't even know if you can get it in Calgary.

    There's a Korean grocery store near Northland Shopping Centre, next to the Mac's. Try there as well.

      If it's here it's at the Korean grocery on 10th Ave SW next to Community Natural Foods, or at T&T.

        No first hand information but I was curious.

        Aekjeot = Korean Fish Sauce?

          Yeah, pretty much. I find the korean stuff to be slightly sweeter, more syrupy, with less salt than the Thai fish sauces you can normally get in Canada.
