Great Eats in Maui

My DH and I are headed to Maui next week to stay at the Lahaina Outrigger Royal Kahana and would really appreciate recommendations of great places to eat in Maui. Preferably cheap and cheerful, though all tips are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

First of all, you will enjoy the Royal Kahana, stayed there last time (11/2 years ago. Next door is the Sands of Kahana and a nice, moderately priced restaurant. The food is really good and it is rightr on the water. If you sit down after 6:00 p.m., you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and see the island of Molokai right in front of you. Later at night, they provide a band or single musician who plays. The whole restaurant is open aired and the bar is usually a great place to enjoy conversation. The name is somehing Kahana but you will have no trouble finding it. Also, go up the road to The Gazebo Restaurant for breakfast. It is everyone's favorite place. The view is so beautiful and the breakfast a real treat. As I just posted, the Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina is a gem. Cheap and delicious food...amazing view....fun. The locals eat their lunch there. You can bring up so many moderate dining options on line and even check out the menu and prices. Have fun!

Our favorite meal was at the Lahaina grill. Very fairly priced for Maui.
