Nice, local Lunch/Brunch in Irvington?

huevosverdes Mar 29, 2008 12:14 PM

We are looking for a nice, casual place for lunch/brunch tomorrow (Sunday) in Irvington, NY. Any ideas? Not interested in anything too fancy or expensive, just the sort of place the locals would go to for steak and eggs and a good bloody! It must be in Irvington.

Two towns south, in Hastings, there's Maud's Tavern...

Maud's is horrible. I am not sure why they are still open. I guess it's a good place to have a beer and watch the game, but certainly not to eat.

Does anyone know about Broadway Grill in Irvington? Is it decent for lunch/brunch?

Never heard of it. Can't picture where it would be. Lots of restaurants in Tarrytown, right down the road...

broadway grill may be the "dive" pubbish bar on broadway next to some chinese/pizza/bagel/ deli strip? don't go there!!!!I didn't even know that they served food- many an irvington professional has stumbled out of that place only to see his son's friends and gain his reputation.

nothing other than river city grill. Irvington is tiny - if you want your nails done or a haircut- you have more than you can count on main street!!!! also, over priced, excellent "westchester" restaurants on the waterfront- westchester isn't lacking in those either!@ 3 miles to Dobbs would give you more options.
