Brattleboro VT, breakfast (good as Bridge St Cafe?)

Looking for good breakfast in the title town. For calibration purpose, my FAVORITE breakfast place ever is the defunct bridge st cafe in Shelburne Falls MA/

I'm a big fan of the Backside Cafe. On the weekends they have a brunch menu that features a different strata every week. Last Saturday's was a pesto, tomato and VT cheddar strata (which is basically a big, layered egg dish). Good, classic breakfasts and lunch stuff. Its a much more relaxed atmosphere than the Chelsea, which can be so rushed and hectic unless you hit it during off-peak times.

It's not in downtown Brattleboro but Chelsea Royal Diner not too far away in West Brattleboro is a pretty cool place to have breakfast and lunch & dinner for that matter.
