I've been out of Ontario for the past 15 years. Is Bagle World still making killer bagles?
In short, yes. I am sure you will elicit many responses about the merit of the Bagel World bagel vs. for example, the Montreal bagel, or a New York bagel. But I don't think the bagels at Bagel World have changed in the past 15 years, so if you liked them then, you will like them now. I prefer the Kiva's bagel myself (if only because they make an extra seeded bagel, and Bagel World does not).
As a side note, when we were at Bagel World a few weekends ago, we were told (by the manager or owner, I believe) that they are going to be opening another location on Bloor, just West of Spadina (between the JCC and Dominion). He said there would be a sign posted there that week, but have yet to see anything...
I'm happy to hear that they are still in business and that the product hasn't changed at all. The last time I was there I had lox and cream cheese on a bagle still warm from the oven. It was too good and it took about four men to carry it to the table it was so big. I remember it costing $8.00 then, and that was 15 years ago.
Hmmmm....high time for another, don't ya think?
