Taco Bell's Cheesy Beefy Melt

Does anyone else love this? It's one of the best things I've had at taco bell in a long time. they use real cheese (not their cheese sauce, which i loathe) so it gets all melty, and sour cream, and rice. I can only hope it's a permanent menu addition and not a limited addition.

I finally tried one. I thought it was good... definitely not the extreme amount of cheese as shown on the tv and print ads (which bummed out my boyfriend.) But I was pleased with the generous amount of sour cream - much more than a usual "supreme" item.

It won't be replacing the chicken quesadilla as my TB guilty pleasure staple, but it's a good secondary item.

Wish I had access to my camera -- I took an "interior pic" of my Cheesy Beefy Melt I ordered the other day. I found no visible evidence of any "Cheesy" in my Beefy Melt. NO stringy cheese.
I emailed the company, no response. I've given up on their special/limited menu items.

I thought it was pretty tasty. Plenty of cheese, enough meat, not too much rice, on the bland side but still pleasantly if lightly seasoned. All in all, one of the better menu items they've come up with. At the cheap price of $2.39, it exceeded my expectations and I'll probably buy it again.

I tried one of these over the weekend - pretty good! Not overly spicy - not overly cheesy either. Overall a nice "plain" quick meal from the Bell.

Is it just a meximelt with rice and sourcream? Which wouldn't be a bad thing since the meximelt is one of my favorites at the bell.

Sort of like a meximelt. Take Meximelt, subtract salsa, add rice & cheese. IMHO, Meximelt is much better.

So if Chipotle made the meximelt, this is what you would have, minus the salsa? Worth trying, at least.
No, I'm not directly comparing Chipotle and Taco Bell, nor expecting Taco bell to try to be them. Just saying the chain burrito places use a lot of rice in their burritos.

I was pretty disappointed. I mean, I figured, what's not to like? But for some reason it just seemed kinda "eh" to me. I don't understand why, but the flavors didn't come together for me. I'd just as soon have a regular soft taco.
