Hi,
A friend recommended an "authentic" Chinese restaurant at the traffic circle near the Woburn Cinema (exit off Rt 128). Anyone been there? Recommedations?
Tx,
Guido

Sichuan Garden in the old Baldwin Mansion. Great food. Stick w/ the Szechuan dishes (spicy) though...you don't go into northern Italian restaurant and order mediterranean food...

That would be Sichuan Garden II, relative of Sichuan Garden in Brookline.

      I like:
Dan Dan noodles with Minced Pork Chilli Vinaigrette
Sichuan Pork Dumpling with roasted chilli Vinaigrette
Braised Fish Filets & Napa Cabbage with Roasted Chilli
Braised Whole Fish with Sichuan Chilli Miso Sauce
      House Hat Crispy Whole Fish
      Chengdu Dry Hot Chicken
Braised Beef Filets & Napa Cabbage with Roasted Chilli
      Sautéed Field Green in Season

All great choices, I would add the duck and green bean dish off of the Chinese menu, very tasty, not at all spicy. The Ma Po Tofu ("Ma Paul" on the menu), Smoky Hot Shredded Beef with Cayenne Chilli. Most of the prawn dishes (which I like a lot) come with head and shell on, not everybody's cup of tea. On a cold day, the Sichuan Beef Soup with Soft Noodles is nice too.
