    Cook in St Helena

In Napa: Celadon...(downtown) wine country on the river. If you happen to be there on a day they are closed, Angele (in the same building) is not bad either. Best hamburger ($12) I've ever had...

Driving up to Yountville: Bouchon...affordable Thomas Keller.

I had lunch this past Saturday at Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen in St. Helena. The food and service were quite good. I could certainly return.

My favorite lunch spot in Napa continues to be Bistro Don Giovanni on Hwy 29. It's great for a relaxed, leisurely lunch, and the food is consistently good (love the risotto). In addition to a nice wine selection, the restaurant offers a wonderful full bar. It also has a nice ambience that is quite appropriate to Napa - beautiful, comfortable and open to the outdoors. On a sunny day, try sitting outside. Second favorite spot is the Wine Spectator restaurant at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena (at Greystone). This is a fun place to visit, and you can wander around and check out the CIA store and cooking demonstrations.
