Parve Kosher wedding cake in NY

Hi! I just found this board and am hoping for some help. I need a, not too expensive, parve kosher wedding cake and live near Albany in upstate NY. Any suggestions for someplace in NJ or NYC that's not too hard to find or can ship? There's one kosher bakery up here and the only wedding cakes they can do are ones that look like they're from the 1970's. My future father in law is a rabbi and very strict about the kashrut certification so it has to be someplace that's respected. Thanks for any help you can all give!

  1. Try They are under the OK supervision and I believe they do pareve cakes as well as dairy. I also think they will ship to you.

    1. Try Schicks - they have a cake for any budget - and strictly Kosher/Pareve

      1. Mazel Tov, I hope everything goes smoothly and you have many occasions to celebrate.
Since wedding cakes are hard to transport, maybe you should try something in Monsey if possible or maybe in Teaneck. Butterflake bakery in teaneck should be able to make a great wedding cake. Its under the RCBC.
Zadies in fairlawn should as well, they are under the RCBC and the Star-K(?) as well.
        Good luck and mazel tov

        1. I just wouldn't spend a lot of money on a pareve wedding cake. I don't think it's worth it. It'll look good, but won't be that terrific. For my daughter's wedding we ordered the wedding cake from Foremost (they were our caterer). It was fine but nothing spectacular. Which was fine with us because we thought the hype on the wedding cake - and how important it was - was completely overdone, and not in line with what we considered important.
