Would love to hear the best of the best seafood joints in the Daytona Beach area. Fancy or hole-in-the-wall.

  1. I would recommend:

Aunt Catfish in Port Orange (kind of touristy, but a great Sunday Brunch)
Tomoka River Grille in Ormond Beach (again, a little touristy)
Hull's Seafood in Ormond Beach (seafood market with a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant)
Betty's A1A Cafe in Ormond-by-the-Sea (heavy on the fried foods)

    1. J.B.'s Fish Camp is not fancy but has great atmostphere and seafood.

Boy do I remember some wild late nights when I worked at JB's. Not many places left like that any more. ;)

      2. Flagler Fish Company - Flagler Beach

        1. Our Deck Down Under in Port Orange, across the way from Aunt Catfish's. Very casual, but a great place to chill for lunch or dinner, always a crowd on the weekends. Awesome seafood!

I find Our Deck to be overpriced for the absolute lack of comfort or service (though DH likes the raw oysters).
Believe it or not, some of the best fried seafood I've ever had was at Greg's Steak and Shrimp, up on U.S. 1 (Yonge St.) in Ormond, north of Granada. I think the nearest cross street is Wilmette. . .you can't miss it, it's on the east side of the road, lots of red, white and blue (and blue hair). Totally worth it though.
