To all of you wine tasters and fellow sybarites seeking something different... a new restaurant has recently opened in beautiful Carmel Valley village. The Volcano Grill & Mai Tai Bar is a small Asian-Hawaiian-Californian styled place, perfect for a really great dinner or just some appetizers and unique drinks. From the Kona baby-back ribs and Asian nachos to the Mongolian BBQ glazed wild salmon and pepper-crusted duck breast, right through to the molten volcano cake and lava rocks (hungry yet?) the food is truly exceptional. There is an outside lanai with copper palm tree heaters and lava rock fire pits with comfortable seats which is ideal for relaxing after a tough day of wine tasting or cruising the valley. The owners, Billy Quon Lee and Theresa Lee, are really nice people and always on hand to personally ensure your dining experience is perfect.

p.s. I know I'm going to regret telling everyone about this little place because it's already hugely popular with locals like me and hard enough to get a table but if you just happen to be in the area, it's really worth stopping in for a bite and/or a drink.

p.p.s. Try the ribs!!!

I think their website should be up by now www.volcano-grill.com
