Hi all. Cousins from Argentina, Conn, N. J. and Pennsylvania are meeting for lunch on a weekday near the Argentinians' hotel. Only our daughter observes Kashrut; rest are flexible as to cuisine. What can you suggest? Six of us in all; quiet surroundings would be appreciated.

Closest in location is probably La Carne Grill at 340 Lexington (39th-40th streets).

La Carne is a very good, but expensive, meat restaurant.
      Here's a map with your options: http://kosher-ny.com/maps/fungeo.php?...
Prime Grill is also expensive, and is loud at dinnertime, but I've never been there for lunch and would assume that it's more subdued then. There are other, more economical options in the neighborhood - click on the place markers, and you can go to the website's page with a description.

I would say Prime Grill is just as close, if not closer. It's on 49th between Park and Madison. If she'll eat at a place open on shabbos, 2nd Ave is not too far.

Prime Grill is my favorite and it is not too as someone mentioned from where you will be - IMHO one of the best restaurants around

La Carne Grill is pretty quiet at lunch time, and you can walk from the hotel. Le Carne and Prime Grill are in the same price range.
