Birthday Party in Baltimore area.

Looking for a place to go for a 26th birthday party. Hip atmosphere and good drinks take priority over food (not my birthday). Something like Red Maple but without a cover charge. No cover is a must! People are coming from Baltimore, Westminster and Columbia so anywhere in the city, county, Carroll County or Howard county is reasonable.

Any ideas?

I agree with MELI. Brand new on Thames Street. Posh, with party atmo downstairs. Good but expensive cocktails (vodka + honey).

Not sure what your budget is but how about Ixia in Mt Vernon? Diverse martini menu and a cool lounge area to hang out in...pretty low key. Stopped by Meli this weekend and took a peek in the room downstairs (rented out for private party). If they keep the lounge music and vibe the same when it's open to the public I say it's definitely a great recommendation! Have you been to Ra in the Eden Apartment building? Bar scene, yummy drinks, lots of people. Random music selection though if you are looking for the lounge/Pazo type... Good luck and HAVE FUN!

I'll put in a vote for the new Lucas Cafe in Locust Point. Great bar and the I-95 access and parking for suburbanites is easier than Harbor East or Fells Point or Canton!

Jack's Bistro in Canton has really good drinks!
Pazo in Fells area, and I really like Tapas Teatro in Charles Village.
Maybe one of the new places near Harbor East - Lemongrass or Tsunami?

Pazo for sure. Lemongrass/Tsunami is also another good bet.

How about Annabel Lee Tavern in Canton? They have great beers (owned by the guy who owns Brewer's Art) and very good small plates. It is not really that big, so if you have a lot of people and/or you want to dance (it's not that kind of place), it's not the place for you.

The guy who owns Brewer's Art does not own Annabel Lee. The owner of Annabel Lee was once a manager at Brewer's.
