Breakfast Places in Memphis, Dinner Places in Nashville

Hi all!

I am going with a friend on a small road trip to Memphis and Nashville. I checked all the posts, but with restaurants in Memphis often turning over quickly I wanted to get an updated version. I'm also really looking for a good breakfast/lunch place in Memphis and a good dinner place in Nashville that is local. Vegetarian restaurants are welcome too.Here are the places we plan to go (from my research on the old posts). Please note if a restaurant has changed or RIP'ed.

Memphis: BBQ Shop, Interstate Barbeque, Cielo's, Seksui, Huey's.

Nashville: The Pancake Pantry

I would stick to any that jamiecarroll mentioned as opposed to Acorn. Had 2 sets of friends go a few months ago and both were disappointed. I think any of the others are much better and consistent, unfortunately.

Thanks all! We have decided not to go to Nashville (because I forgot it was Mother's Day that weekend), but to stay in Memphis. The Memphis blog has been a wealth of knowledge. Thanks again!

I read the dining blog, and have to agree with the people that rave about Bryant's for breakfast in Memphis . I haven't visited many of the other places, but I already know that none of them can be better...
