GOOD FOOD SUGGESTIONS IN SAN DIEGO

b

Hi All-

We are headed to San Diego next week, and seek suggestions for good food -- any style, any meals, and any price except not too fancy as I will have my 4 and 9 year old along. We will be staying in the Mission Beach and Paradise Point areas, but will have a car and will travel for good eats. I previously posted to ask for microbrew and food ideas, and I got plenty of great beer ideas, and now just need food ideas! After all, you have to eat breakfast and lunch too. So let me know of your San Diego favorite eating establishments.

THANKS!

Rocky's is great..Don't recall is you can bring kids in but you can get cheeseburgers to go..
Deli sandwiches..Crest Liquor across the street in Crown Point..
    Harry's Coffee Shop in LJ..
El Pescador for the best fish sandwiches
Excellent fish tacos with ocean view at Don Bravo Bahia's in Bird Rock/LJ
    Alfonso's for Nachos and Marg's..
Surfer Hotel in PB used to have a great lobster taco happy hour..Green Flash is fun too.
Saska's in MB or the Mission

The Linkery - excellent local food, gastropub style I guess, great beer
Rocky's - great burgers in Pacific Beach (not far from you), you might not be able to bring kids in there though
Super Cocina - Maybe the best Mexican food in San Diego. I would go during the day. The neighborhood isn't that bad but with kids I'd rather go during the day.
      Tajima - ramen
Ba Ren - spicy Szechuan food
Breakfast - Hash House A Go Go, Parkhouse Eatery, Cafe on Park, Broken Yolk
Blue Water Grille or El Pescador - fantastic fresh fish sandwiches
