Mother's Day Brunch in OC

  • r

The most interesting Brunch by far in OC is THE GOLDEN TRUFFLE in COSTA MESA. If you go to their Web address: the Mothers Day Brunch menu will speak for itself, you may have to request it? I think this is my 5th year in a row there. If I was in LA I would go to the PENNISULA, hands down.

  1. Hey Russ-speaking of the Golden Truffle, what is a definite "must try" for dinner there? I will be going for dinner in a couple of weeks and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks!

It's really hard to say. I like almost everything on the menu. Beware of Spicy items(Caribbean) if that's not your style. Alan's menu changes all the time and is based on what's available and fresh. You will either have the "meal of your life" which happens 90percent of the time or a average + dinner. I've done New Years two years in a row there, with 20 people and always have had a great time. I am there almost every fri for lunch year around, unless I'm out of town, it's unbelievable. Elmer Dills was there 3 weeks ago at fri lunch.

I am going with my SO and we are both adventurous eaters. I think we will probably just order a variety of things that sound good and I am sure we will enjoy it. I have heard from so many people that the food is spectacular.
