Have 25 minutes to grab a bite before Carnegie Hall Concert-ideas?

Rushing from work in Brookly to get to a 7:30 concert on Tuesday. Anyplace I can get something quick? Bagel? Wrap? Thanks!

  1. There's a Starbucks just a couple of doors East of Carnegie Hall on the same side of West 57th. There's also a Cafe Europa I think caddy-corner from CH on 57th and 7th. You may be able to dash in to the Burger Joint at the Parker Meridien a few more doors farther East of CH for a burger but if there's line you won't make it. There's a bar area inside CH that serves wine and stuff. I think they may have light fare like sandwiches. How fast you can get served would still be up in the air. Safest bet would be Starbucks or Cafe Europa in that case

I'd vote for Le Pain Quotidien over Tenbucks or Europa any day - 58th/7th

The takeout service with "bar" seating along the window at Cafe Europa will be your quickest option. Pain Quotidien can be glacial by comparison.

And yes, there are mini-sandwiches (ham/brie, smoked salmon, grilled veggies?) available inside along with brownies, etc. There's more food than that available in the main hall, but that's all if you're going to Weill or Zankel, which it sounds like you are with a 7:30 curtain.

    2. The best place for something quick is the cafe at Petrossian. They have pastries, small bites, caviar tastings. There are always table at that time since they close st 8:pm. Le Pain Quotidien is nice but every time I go in the evening, the bread seems stale.

      1. Get a blueberry cheesecake at the carnegie deli to go - it is awesome.
